Location Location

The best portraits are often just that 'a portrait" with very little setting in them. Thats when a client's house is usually
a good place to be. Every house has a door and both of these photos were taken in the open front or back door of modern houses.

Family

Most of us want photos of our family and many head off to a studio to get it done. Im becoming more and more inclined to venture out of the studio most of the time as I think we get much more interesting portraits for you. The studio has its place especially in Scottish weather. I love going to a clients house and then having to think on my feet to find an area with enough light. Here are one or two of the lovely Mooney family who came complete with their crazy dog. These were all taken outside the studio in my garden and using some old outbuildings I have. Im dying to find some fab architectural buildings with covered areas for the unreliable scottish weather. If you see any let me know.

Leaving Home

My eldest daughter left home to go to University this week.
Its a strange old time and a big adjustment. In an attempt to
put it out my mind I at last talked my younger daughter Linsey into
having a few photos taken. Ever camera shy I think she'd rather have
had her teeth pulled but hey we got a fabulous result and a bit of
fun as well. If your kids are going to leave make sure youve got some
lovely memories of them!! Well by that I mean some lovely photos
as we've all got lots of lovely memories, but if your anything like me your memory is
leaving all too soon as well!!!!

Well we,ve given birth....so to speak. Fusion is up and running. The "diffusion" website Yvonne Watt and I have set up. Have a peak. Ive added a link at the top of the page.

Model Men

Is there any such thing as the model man? This week I was out taking some promotional shots for
a new bespoke suit service offered by Paul Smith Menswear of Bearsden. Something different and in between the showers it was fun. Thank you to Sean, our model, for dodging the midges and I think we got some great shots.

So Out of Date

I cant remember the last itme I wrote anything here. But Im feeling quite up to date and have done lots of lovely interesting jobs so will post some stuff tonight!
